he Kennedy Half Dollar began to be minted in 1964 and are still minted today! These 1964 Kennedies are the only year that a standard issue Kennedy was struck in 90% silver. From 1965-1969, Kennedies were struck in 40% silver. Thereafter, all Kennedy Half Dollars are clad.
